Amy Elizabeth Devereaux began drawing and taking photographs at an early age. She first began creating collages and selling her art in the early 1980's when she lived in Roxboro, NC. Later when she moved to Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, she started painting with acrylics and incorporating pastels in her work. There she won awards and had solo and group exhibitions at Guernica Gallery, the Townley Gallery, Antioch University, Ojai Valley Art Center, Westmont College, Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, and the University Center Gallery at UCSB. Before her trip to China in 2004, she decided to turn to photography professionally. Currently she is a member of the Visual Art Exchange and International Freelance Photographers Organization and resides in her home state of North Carolina.
